Simple seasonal oatmeal and yogurt bowl recipes

Winter in NYC has been so cold lately it makes me want to stay in all week. My favorite way to warm up has been with a toasty bowl of oatmeal or a bowl of yogurt. Creating healthy yogurt and oatmeal bowls has been fun and pretty simple, considering I'm not a trained chef but a person that cooks with love. Stay warm and cozy and enjoy the following recipes!

Divine Goddess Oatmeal Bowl
1 pack of McCann's instant Irish oatmeal
1 tablespoon of organic unsweetened coconut chips
1 fig
1 apricot thinly sliced
1 small pear thinly sliced
1 tablespoon of almond butter
1 table of honey roasted almonds (preferably from Trader Joe's)
1 tablespoon of organic raw honey
1 teaspoon of chia seed
1 tablespoon of banana hemp superfood cereal (brand used Activated Superfood cereal banana hemp)
In a small pan spray organic coconut or canola oil cooking spray.
Heat pan slightly and add the apricots, figs and pear.
Sear until slightly brown on each side for about 4 minutes .
Place the instant oatmeal in a bowl and add 2/3 cup of water and heat in the microwave for 1 to 1/2 minutes depending on texture desired.
Add honey and toppings and enjoy for breakfast or lunch.

Purple Passion Yogurt Bowl
2 (6 ounce servings of Faye Yogurt)
1 small guava fruit
1 pack of small raspberries
1/4 cup of frozen blueberries
1 tablespoon of organic raw honey
1 tablespoon of pomegranate seeds
1 tablespoon of organic unsweetened coconut chips
1 tablespoon of banana hemp superfood cereal (brand used Activated Superfood cereal banana hemp) or any granola of choice
In a blender mix 1/2 cup of yogurt and frozen blueberries.
Blend and mix with 1 6 ounce cup of yogurt in a bowl.
Add toppings and enjoy!

Day Trip Oatmeal Bowl
1 pack of McCann's instant Irish oatmeal
1 persimmon thinly sliced
1 tablespoon of almond butter
1/2 banana thinly sliced
3 rasperries
1 tablespoon of coconut chips
1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon
1 tablespoon of organic raw honey
In a small pan spray organic coconut or canola oil cooking spray.
Heat pan slightly and add the persimmon.
Sear until slightly brown on each side for about 4 minutes.
Place the instant oatmeal in a bowl and add 2/3 cup of water and heat in the microwave for 1 to 1/2 minutes depending on texture desired.
Add honey, sprinkle cinnamon and add toppings and enjoy for breakfast or lunch.
